GelRed® and GelGreen® are ultra-sensitive dyes that require loading only 1/2 to 1/3 the sample amount that you would use for ethidium bromide (EtBr). However, the sensitivity of the staining will depend on the instrument capability and exposure settings. For maximum sensitivity, we recommend our EMBER™ Ultra DNA Gel Kit which can detect as little as ≤1 ng DNA.
